A magical garden a few steps from the Appia Antica, where butterflies, hundreds of variegated species that fly freely in a reproduction of tropical forest, shine all their beauty.
The Butterfly House is a greenhouse created to give the opportunity to all, adults and children, to see in close-up beautiful specimens, discover their world, admire their colors and secrets. Visitors are free to walk in the midst of lush vegetation and, to make the exploration more constructive, biologists and etymologists invite the curious along an itinerary with a magical atmosphere, revealing curiosities and adaptive techniques of butterflies, chrysalises, nests, step by step FogliaVerde insects, millipedes and whistling cockroaches.
At the base of the project is the Cultural Association “Imago”, a team of people with multidisciplinary skills that aims to spread an important concept, raising awareness among adults and children: butterflies are fundamental ecological indicators that, with their presence or absence, indicate the state of health of the environment in which we live.
