Tomb of Saint Peter and Necropolis

To visit the excavations under the Basilica of San Pietro it is necessary to present a written request to Fabbrica di San Pietro – Ufficio Scavi, specifying name and number of visitors, language, desired date for visit and phone number. The request may be sent by fax or mail or by filling out form directly at the office (to the left by the entrance of the Aula delle Udienze Generali).
The Office will confirm date and time of the guided tour (lasting approximately 2 hours).
