The exhibition aims at informing visitors about the last period in which this Empire was flourishing, ruled by the Severi Dynasty, between the end of the 2nd and the first decades of the 3rd century.
A journey in stages between the monuments that the powerful dynasty built or restored in the central archaeological area, from the Colosseum to the Templum Pacis and the Fori Imperiali. The interventions and architectural decorations of that time are skillfully being told in these places through graphic panels and reconstructive films, all drawing a logical and critical picture also on the social and economic aspects of the history, deeply shaped by the great transformations that the Severi created.
The exhibition is promoted by the Parco archeologico del Colosseo with the organization and promotion of Electa.
