From 20 to 26 May the Official International Horse Show (CSIO), now in its 87th edition, will be staged at Villa Borghese for a full seven days, with a prologue that will introduce the fans to the real tournament of the long weekend.
Everything is ready in Piazza di Siena and in the Galoppatoio area of Villa Borghese, where the Capital is preparing to host well over 500 horses for the unprecedented International Official Horse Show (CSIO). The free opening to the public, as well as the debut of the new scheduled activities in the redeveloped area have proved, already in the last edition, a winning formula to give fans the thrill of an unparalleled sports show.
Both areas will have free access, allowing fans to be able to follow the event for free: at the Galoppatoio from the stands set up on the sidelines and at Piazza di Siena from the oval steps and the La Casina Raffaello lawn.
From Monday, 20 May, with the evening dedicated to the Italia Polo Challenge tournament, until Wednesday, 22 May, the program of activities will be all concentrated in the Galoppatoio area, with pole and national and international show jumping competitions. After this exciting prologue, the actual Competition starts on Thursday, 23 May: the oval of Piazza di Siena, with its grassy terrain, will return to an unique stage until Sunday, 26 May for the major international players.
