From 4 to 28 June at the Basilica of Massenzio the historic demonstration of the capital returns thanks to the Istituzione Biblioteche di Roma, conceived and directed by Maria Ida Gaeta, directed by Fabrizio Arcuri.
This year the Festival has been dedicated to the theme “The future of the classics” and will have the most interesting authors of the international literary scene as protagonists of the eight appointments at the Basilica of Massenzio. These will include Antonio Scurati, who kicks off the event, Alberto Manguel, Chiara Gamberale, Valerio Massimo Manfredi, Alicia Giménez-Bartlett and Roberto Saviano.

The event, promoted by Roma Capitale Roma Capitale Assessorato alla Crescita culturale di Roma and organized by Zètema Progetto Cultura will also involve the prestigious locations of the Auditorium del Macro, the Casa delle Letterature, the open-air arena of Villa Borghese and the Casa del Cinema with a joint cultural programme that will also embrace music, cinema and art with concerts, screenings and exhibitions.
In the third consecutive edition of the Istituzione Biblioteche di Roma, the meetings at libraries across the city will be highlighted again to promote readings, debates, in-depth programs and enhancement of historical funds and ideally involve a growing number of growing big and small readers.
