From 17 to 27 October The 14th edition of the Rome Film Festival of which the central location still has been the Auditorium Parco della Musica by Renzo Piano.
The location, with its 1300 square meter avenue leading to the Cavea, will again be the reference for all cinema lovers in the capital with a full programme of screenings, meetings, presentations, debates and exhibitions until 27 October.
This is all promoted by the Cinema per Roma Foundation, founded in 2007 which aims at promoting and spreading all expressive forms related to the sector during the year (films, television series, documentaries, meetings).The exhibition intends to give a voice to the various expressions of cinematographic art: genre production and independent cinema, works by established authors as well as by emerging directors, examples of research and experimentation in spectacular expressions such as animation, visual art and documentaries.The Capitoline kermesse, which this year is officially recognized as a non-competitive International Festival by the FIAPF (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films), will host about 40 films from all over the world competing for the BNL Audience Award and will be celebrating Bill Murray, one of the most beloved global performers, awarding him the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Wes Anderson who directed him in some of his most iconic roles. As every year, numerous other places and cultural realities of the Capital will be involved: among these, the MAXXI – National Museum of XXI Century Arts, the Casa del Cinema and the MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome.
