An innovative project to bring to live the history of this monument using augmented and virtual reality.
After the “Viaggi nell’antica Roma” and “l’Ara com’era” here is to you a new path that uses the most modern technologies to enhance the Circus Maximus and relive it in all its historical phases, from the first wooden construction to the glories of the imperial age, from the Middle Ages to the first decades of the twentieth century.
Circus Maximo Experience is promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Cultural Growth – Assessorato alla Crescita culturale – Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali, organized by Zètema Progetto Cultura and produced by GS NET Italia & Inglobe Technologies.
The use of Zeiss VR One Plus viewers coupled with iPhone-type smartphones and stereo earphones allows visitors to enjoy a unique experience in an archaeological site, and to fully immerse themselves in its history with the vision of architectural reconstructions and landscapes during the seven historical periods which are being thus represented.
The narration in Italian by actors Claudio Santamaria and Iaia Forte but, the itinerary of about 40 minutes, is also available in English, French, German, Spanish and Russian.
