The Biopark of Rome is a structure active in the education and conservation of the animal world.
Member of the EAZA (European Union Zoo and Aquariums) and of WAZA (World Zoo and Aquariums Union), the Rome Zoological Garden collaborates internationally with many institutions involved in the conservation of endangered species.
Several initiatives at the weekends allow visitors to deepen their knowledge about the exemplary guests of the park and allow them to understand better everything related to the natural environment and its conservation.
The Bioparco has recently welcomed 9 pairs of Cape penguins (Spheniscus Demersus), coming from the Bristol Zoo and Zoom Torino, to which it has dedicated a large area of about 400 sqm.
