Two giants of painting together for the first time in an exhibition.
The Chiostro del Bramante in Rome will host a focus exhibition on the London School with over 45 paintings, drawings and engravings by artists born between the beginning of the twentieth century and the thirties, immigrants in England and London. These include Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud, but also Frank Auerbach, Michael Andrews, Leon Kossof and Paula Rego.The exhibition is curated by Elena Crippa, Curator of Modern and Contemporary British Art and organized in collaboration with the Tate of London.
