The “Art Faces” collection, presented for the first time in 2003 at the Kunsthalle Würth in Schwäbisch Hall, starts from the work of the Swiss photographer François Meyer who undertakes the ambitious project of creating a collection of photographs of artist portraits.

Today the collection boasts as many as 240 shots by 42 different authors, some of which are among the greatest of the 20th century.

The exhibition at the Würth Capena Art Forum, whose catalog is published by Swiridoff, displays a selection of over 100 photographs by 32 photographers, accompanied by some original works from the Würth Collection by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Max Ernst , Jean Arp, Salvador Dalí, David Hockney, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Sam Francis. The rooms display works and photographs together, creating a path that complements Meyer’s idea of linking the artist to his creation.
